Vrindavan Itinerary

04 Days 03 Nights

  • Arrive in Mathura / Vrindavan area (train / bus / car).

  • First visit to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple — believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna. 

  • Then visit Dwarkadhish Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna — great for darshan and atmosphere. 

  • Later, take a peaceful evening walk / visit Vishram Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna — dip / aarti or simply enjoy sunset.

  • If time permits & interest allows — head to nearby Gokul / surrounding areas: places like Raman Reti (Krishna-childhood connection) or Gokul’s ghats for a calm early-evening vibe. 

  • Overnight stay in Mathura / Vrindavan — depending on your booking.

  • Early morning: Head to Banke Bihari Temple — one of the most revered temples in Vrindavan. Great for darshan and experiencing devotional vibes. 

  • Next, visit ISKCON Temple, Vrindavan — ideal for peaceful ambience, kirtans, bhajans, and a sense of calm spirituality. 

  • Midday — a break/rest (since many temples remain closed between around 12 PM–4 PM).

  • Later afternoon/evening: Visit Prem Mandir — known for its beautiful architecture and impressive evening light-show (especially magical post-sunset). 

  • After that, explore lesser-known but sacred spots like Nidhivan (famous for myths surrounding divine pastimes), and maybe other historic temples depending on time & interest. 

  • Evening: enjoy local culture, vegetarian “Braj” food or sweets (Mathura / Vrindavan local cuisine).

  • Overnight stay in Vrindavan.

  • After breakfast, depart for nearby sacred sites depending on your preferences — options include:

    • Govardhan — do a partial or full Parikrama (pilgrimage walk around the hill), experience peaceful rural-Braj ambience. 

    • Or visit Nandgaon & Barsana — villages with deep connections to legends of Radha-Krishna, traditional temples and rustic charm. 

    • Alternatively, explore local ghats, small temples — giving a break from crowded city-temple vibes, a more tranquil spiritual experience.

  • Evening: return to Vrindavan / Mathura. Relax, stroll, maybe revisit some favourite temple or enjoy local food/markets.

  • Depending on your time of departure:

    • You can re-visit any temple for final darshan / prayers (or the ones you missed).

    • Explore local markets for souvenirs or sweets (e.g. traditional sweets / local crafts / religious items).

    • Check-out from accommodation, travel back (train / bus / car) to home / next destination.
